hohenthaner.video goes CineD.com

A lot has been going on in the last months for hohenthaner.video! I already joined the writing team of www.CineD.com at the beginning of 2023, but since the start of this year I have also moved into their offices and taken on more roles.

Up until now I was a writer and video producer for CineD.com with a special focus on post production and DaVinci Resolve in particular. I started producing a series of quick tips such as this one during the last year:

I also went to Portland, Oregon, to make a report about Resolvecon, a three-day conference all about DaVinci Resolve, which you can find here:

And was able to make this mini-documentary about Koerner Cameras, the biggest camera and lens rental house on the west coast north of Los Angeles:

Starting in February this year I have also taken on the role of podcast producer for CineD. The Co-CEOs Nino and Johnnie had already planned on doing a podcast for a long time, but now we really got round to it by setting up the studio in a way that allows us to quickly record and edit the episodes. We are using three Blackmagic Pocket 4Ks as cameras all connected to an ATEM Mini Pro ISO, which allows us to control camera settings and also records a DaVinci Resolve Project directly onto a hard drive, making post-production a breeze.

And the result is a very informative and entertaining show - check out episode 4 of the podcast here:

By creating presets on the ATEM and in Resolve I was able to cut down production and post-production time and get the podcast out within a few hours. For distribution of the audio version we use www.podbean.com who we are very happy with. An easy to use user interface and connections to all major services make this a great service. Only the video version we upload directly to YouTube.

I am looking forward to further working with the CineD team and discovering lots of great new tech in the process!
